Just Asking… (Do you know you are the only one who can change your life?)

Are you dissatisfied with where you are in life? Are you unfulfilled and feel like you are not making progress? Do you look at your days and feel you have wasted many of them, doing things that aren’t important? If you feel this way about your life, you are the only one who can change it.

Regardless of how much you complain or cry about it, nothing will change until you make a decision to make things better. Excuses won’t change the situation. Tears won’t wash the situation away. Anger (without taking appropriate steps) will not propel you to the next level. Envying others will not change your life. You must take action steps in the direction you want to go. Not only must you take action steps, you must continue taking steps until you reach your desired destination.

Even if you feel overwhelmed, you must defy those feelings and move forward. Even when you don’t know what to do, you can start by reading about and researching your area of interest. Information is readily available to any person who will seek it. Don’t sit back and sulk any longer, take a step; get moving.

It’s encouraging to read about those who went before and made it through difficult times with limited resources. Even though many forces pushed against them, they refused to give up and quit. If they could make it with the little they had, there’s no reason why you can’t do the same.

Believe in your gifts and talents. Know that they were given to you for purpose. Even if you can’t see the big picture, do what your hands find to do. Once you start, other doors will open. The only way to gain momentum is to get going. So kick off that lackadaisical attitude and make today the day that you will change your life. Remember, it’s the one thing that you and only you can change.
